Police have identified the motorcyclist who tragically lost his life in a two-vehicle crash over the weekend in Wichita Falls, Texas.
The victim, William Heyen, was pronounced dead after being transported to United Regional Hospital. Efforts to revive him were in progress during transportation, but sadly, he could not be saved.
How the Crash Happened
The accident took place on Sunday, April 27, 2025, around 12:23 p.m..
According to Sergeant Brett Keith with the Wichita Falls Police Department (WFPD), Heyen was traveling eastbound on Southwest Parkway. As he approached the intersection, an SUV pulled out from Lake Park Drive directly in front of him.
Heyen’s motorcycle collided with the driver’s side of the SUV.
Despite quick emergency response and CPR efforts, Heyen was later pronounced dead at the hospital.
Condition of the SUV Driver
The driver of the SUV was also injured in the crash. They were transported to United Regional Hospital but suffered only non-life-threatening injuries.
Police have not released further details about the SUV driver or whether any citations or charges will be issued.
