Many citizens in the United States received a stimulus check from the IRS a few years ago to help alleviate the negative effects of the pandemic, but much of that financial assistance is still reaching American households today.
In 2025, the IRS distributed a large sum of money to eligible citizens. As a result, it is critical to understand the eligibility requirements and how we can apply for this very interesting stimulus check.
The usual amount is $1,400, but not all citizens are eligible for the same amount. In any case, receiving such a payment is a significant financial relief, so if we are eligible, we must do everything possible to obtain it.
Until when can I apply for the IRS stimulus check?
The deadline for this stimulus check is April 15, 2025. This means that if you have met all of your previous year’s tax obligations, paid all of your taxes, and submitted all of your tax returns by then, you may be eligible for the payment.
Of course, you do not simply receive a stimulus check for submitting the documentation; it all depends on whether or not we are eligible. If you are eligible, you will be able to receive this payment after submitting the necessary documentation.

So far in 2025, the IRS has issued more than $2 million in automatic payments. So, if you meet the eligibility requirements, you could receive one of these stimulus checks. Don’t pass up the opportunity to pay your taxes while also receiving a new payment in the form of a bonus check.
Is the IRS stimulus check compatible with Social Security?
Social Security payments are not directly related to stimulus checks. As a result, receiving one of these IRS stimulus checks will not interfere with your Social Security payment. Both checks are completely compatible.
Furthermore, even if you only receive one Social Security payment, you may be eligible for this stimulus check if you have already submitted all of your documentation. So make sure you do it as soon as possible to receive an additional payment. This stimulus check is also valid for SSI, SNAP, and other benefits.
Similarly, workers can receive this stimulus check from the IRS, as this additional payment is available to all citizens who do not exceed the income threshold in 2021. We can only know for certain whether we have access to this benefit if we submit all of the necessary documentation.
