A nearly three-decade-old murder case in Wichita Falls, Texas, remains unsolved—and local officials are once again reaching out to the public for help.

This 28-year-old cold case has yet to be closed, but even the smallest tip could lead to justice.

What Happened to Richard Gregoire?

On the night of October 8, 1996, Richard Gregoire was fatally shot in a residential area near Homes Avenue. Despite investigative efforts at the time and in the years since, no arrests have been made, and his killer remains unidentified.

With the case still open, Wichita Falls authorities are hoping someone may now come forward with critical information that could finally bring closure to Gregoire’s family and community.
