Denver Moore, a 104-year-old World War II veteran from Ohio, had one special birthday wish this year—to hear from President Donald Trump. And while Trump couldn’t attend Moore’s birthday party in person, he made sure the veteran felt celebrated in a personalized video message that left the centenarian beaming.
Moore, who lives at Danbury Senior Living in Massillon, Ohio, became a TikTok sensation in March 2025 after posting a video inviting Trump to his birthday celebration.
“President Trump… I’m gonna be 104 in May, and I’m inviting you to my birthday party in Canal Fulton,” Moore said. “I got to vote for you again, and I hope I can vote for you some more.”
A Special Message from President Trump
President Trump, currently on an overseas tour, took time from his travels to record a heartfelt birthday message for Moore. The video was delivered in person by Rep. Michael Rulli (R-Ohio).
“Hi, Denver! I want to wish you a very happy 104th birthday from your all-time favorite president. That’s me, Donald Trump,” the president said in the video.
“I’m sorry we weren’t able to get to your party. I would love to get to your party, but I’m working on Russia, Ukraine, China, and all sorts of other places, and I know you want us to do well.”
Trump continued by thanking Moore for his military service and ongoing support, calling him a “very, very special man.”
Moore’s Reaction: Humble and Humorous
After watching the message, Moore smiled and joked, “Couldn’t happen to a nicer guy,” clearly touched by the president’s gesture. His playful remark quickly drew laughs from those around him at the celebration.

Denver Moore served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II and later worked for the U.S. Postal Service. He raised three children with his late wife, Thelma Lee, who passed away in 2022 at the age of 95.
