President Trump in Excellent Health Following Annual Physical Exam

President Donald Trump is in “excellent health,” according to a memo released by the White House after his annual physical exam at the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center on Friday.

The memo, written by White House physician Sean Barbabella, details the results of various health tests, including a heart exam, neurological exam, and skin exam.

Key Health Findings from President Trump’s Exam

The White House physician’s memo praised Trump’s cardiac, pulmonary, neurological, and general physical function, noting that his active lifestyle contributes significantly to his well-being.

Barbabella highlighted that Trump remains highly active, participating in multiple meetings, public appearances, and “frequent victories in golf events.”

President Trump exhibits excellent cognitive and physical health and is fully fit to execute the duties of the Commander-in-Chief and Head of State,” Barbabella stated.

Cognitive and Mental Health Results

Trump underwent the Montreal Cognitive Assessment, a test often used to check for memory issues and cognitive decline. The president scored a perfect 30 out of 30 on the test, which he proudly mentioned in a Friday interview, claiming he got every question right.

In addition to the cognitive exam, Trump also completed a depression and anxiety screening. According to the memo, his responses were within the normal range for both conditions.

Additional Exam Details

  • Heart Function: The memo confirmed that Trump’s heart function is normal.
  • Colonoscopy: Trump had a benign polyp found during a colonoscopy in July 2024, and doctors recommended a follow-up exam in 2027.
  • Skin Exam: Trump’s skin exam revealed minor sun damage and benign lesions.
  • Ear Injury: Trump has a scar on his right ear from a bullet wound in a 2024 assassination attempt, but his hearing remains normal.

Trump’s Physical Stats

According to the memo, Trump’s weight is 224 pounds, and he stands 75 inches tall, which classifies him as overweight based on his body mass index (BMI).

Medications and Vaccinations

Trump is up-to-date on all recommended vaccinations and is currently taking cholesterol medications, aspirin, and mometasone as needed for his skin.

Health Status Since Leaving Office

Since leaving office in 2020, Trump has been relatively private about his health. His campaign released a letter from his personal physician in November 2023, confirming his “excellent health”, but offering limited details on his most recent physical exam.

After being grazed by a bullet during an assassination attempt in July 2024, Trump has not shared extensive information about his recovery or any lasting effects. However, Rep. Ronny Jackson (R-Texas), a former White House physician, confirmed that he examined Trump’s ear injury following the incident.
