The Midwestern State University (MSU) women’s tennis team is gearing up for another exciting season after making program history last year. The Mustangs reached the NCAA Division II semifinals, falling only to the eventual national champions.
With a deep and experienced roster, the Mustangs are in a strong position to build on last season’s success.
A Roster Built for Success
MSU enters this season with high expectations, as they only graduated one senior, meaning most of last year’s standout players are returning. This depth gives the team a competitive edge as they aim for another deep postseason run.
Head coach Scott Linn praised his team’s resilience and work ethic, which helped them win multiple close matches last year.
“I think the wonderful thing about the tennis team is they do not get discouraged, they get determined,” Linn said. “They are not afraid to work. I am very appreciative as a coach. It’s one of the reasons why they won a ton of close matches last year.”
