To celebrate, Commanding Officer of the Disabled American Veterans Chapter 41 Joel Jimenez said they’ll be hosting a birthday party for the Army on Friday morning from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.

He said the public is invited and can expect light refreshments and good conversation regarding our men and women in uniform.

Jimenez added this should always be at the forefront of everyone’s mind.

“The great nation that we live in and the reason for our freedom that started back in the first Continental Army, it progressed too,” Jimenez said. “We have to be patriotic to ourselves and to our nation and to one another so that we can keep this country free.”

The birthday celebration will be at the DAV Chapter 41 headquarters, inside the new transportation depot at 227 N Beverly Dr on Windthorst Road.
