Carrie Underwood and her husband Mike Fisher attended the Grand Ole Opry’s 100th birthday party in Nashville on Wednesday night (March 19), and they look great!
The country couple looked svelte in matching black as they walked the red carpet together before the event.
Fisher dressed simply in a black suit, while Underwood added some pizazz to the carpet in an off-the-shoulder black gown with a sash and gold embellishments.
Fisher has previously joined Underwood on red carpets, but fans haven’t seen him in this setting in a while: Underwood and Fisher haven’t walked a carpet together in a few years.
According to our records, the last time this occurred was in November 2022, when they attended the CMA Awards.
Despite the fact that they looked like country music royalty walking the carpet, Underwood’s fans know she can dress down just as easily as up.
When she’s not singing onstage or getting ready for her judging role on American Idol, she frequently shares glimpses into her simple life at home, where her hobbies include growing vegetables, baking bread, and keeping farm animals.
This couple, like the majority of the other stars on the carpet, wore fairly subdued outfits, possibly to keep the spotlight on the Grand Ole Opry throughout the institution’s 100th birthday celebration.
Opry 100: A Live Celebration was a highlight of the stage’s ongoing birthday celebrations this year, with the show airing live on NBC and streaming on Peacock.
Underwood was scheduled to perform that night; she paid tribute to Randy Travis during her performance, even inviting Travis himself to join her onstage as she sang.
