If you’ve ever wanted to learn how your local government operates, now is your chance! The City of Burkburnett is launching its first-ever Citizens Academy, giving residents an exclusive, behind-the-scenes look at how city departments function.
What Is the Burkburnett Citizens Academy?
The Burkburnett Citizens Academy is a 10-class program designed to educate residents about local government operations. Each session will focus on a different city department, providing valuable insights into how the city runs.
Program Details:
- Start Date: April 8, 2025
- Class Schedule: Every other Tuesday
- Time: 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM
- Location: Burkburnett City Hall
This is a great opportunity for residents to meet city leaders, ask questions, and better understand how decisions are made in Burkburnett.
Who Can Apply?
- Burkburnett residents 18 years or older
- Must have no felony convictions in the past seven years
- Must have no pending Class B or higher misdemeanor charges
