Shock in Leander Student Teacher Accused of Having Relationship with Student

A student teacher affiliated with the Leander Independent School District has been charged with a felony for her alleged actions with a student. Here’s what we know at the time of writing.

What Are The Actions Darian Christine Rogers Is Accused Of?

According to FOX 7, the situation started in April 2025. A student at Rouse High School reported an issue between a student-teacher and another student. The student’s report prompted a police investigation.

The student reported that Rogers was “engaging in sexual relationships with several of her coworkers from H-E-B who were also Leander ISD students.” The student also provided evidence in the form of a voicemail from Rodgers stating that she had sent inappropriate images to a male student.

Police questioned the male student, who was 17 years old at the time of this writing. During the initial questioning, the student denied having a relationship with Rodgers. When police searched his phone, they discovered a conversation between the two of them about the Plan B contraceptive pill, which led to the student’s confession.

What Did The Interview With Rodgers Reveal?

During their inquiries with Rodgers, police discovered numerous pieces of evidence. Rodgers did, however, refute the relationship allegation at the start of the interview. When the previously mentioned text message evidence was shown to Rodgers, she told law enforcement that they had sex “one time.”

Officers searched the phone with Rodgers’ permission. They discovered video evidence of Rodgers taking the previously mentioned Plan B pill, as well as a receipt addressed to the previously mentioned student.

Rodgers is accused of a second-degree felony involving an improper relationship between an educator and a student. She was booked into jail on May 16th and released on bond on May 17th. As this is a developing story, we will provide additional information as it becomes available.
