Shreveport Police Searching for Suspect in $100,000 Property Damage Burglary

SHREVEPORT, LA – The Shreveport Police Department (SPD) is actively searching for Jon C. Ansley, the suspect behind a major burglary and property damage incident that took place in February 2025. Authorities say the crime caused up to $100,000 in damages and resulted in a hazardous material spill on private property.

What Happened?

According to police, Jon C. Ansley used heavy machinery to remove large structural components from a property in Shreveport. This act not only caused severe property destruction but also led to the spilling of hazardous materials, making the situation even more dangerous.

The property owner was left with the responsibility of paying for the cleanup, adding financial stress on top of the physical damage done to the site.

Suspect Identified After Long Investigation

SPD detectives worked on the case for several months. After gathering evidence and completing their investigation, they were able to identify Ansley as the primary suspect.

As of this week, police have obtained a warrant for his arrest on the following charges:
