The Shreveport Police Department is actively seeking the public’s help in locating two convicted sex offenders who have failed to meet their annual registration obligations, as required by Louisiana Revised Statute 15:542.
This statute outlines the necessary steps for sex offenders and child predators to register annually to ensure the safety and security of the community. Both individuals are now wanted due to their non-compliance with these critical laws.
Steven Edward Woods Sr.
Steven Edward Woods Sr. has failed to complete his 2025 annual sex offender registration with the Shreveport Police Department. Woods has a history of non-compliance, including three previous convictions for Failure to Register as a Sex Offender.
In addition to this, he has a past conviction for Intentional Exposure to AIDS, a serious offense that highlights his disregard for public safety. Due to his continued failure to meet registration requirements, an arrest warrant has been issued for Woods.
Waynon Gerald Boatwin
Authorities are also searching for Waynon Gerald Boatwin, born March 14, 1956, who has also failed to meet his 2025 registration requirements. Boatwin has not paid his required sex offender registration fee, which is another violation of the law.
