What Happens to Pete and Marshal Kent?
In the previous episode, we saw Pete (Jeremy Guana) and Marshal Kent (Jamie McShane) in a shootout. Episode 6 confirms that Pete dies in that shootout.
This finally breaks Father Renaud (Sebastian Roche), who sees Kent as no better than a murderer. After a heated argument, Renaud kills Kent and sets off alone to find Teonna Rainwater (Aminah Nieves) and her father Runs His Horse (Michael Spears).
Teonna’s Emotional and Brave Fight
Teonna manages to survive a brutal encounter with Father Renaud. After discovering Pete and Kent’s dead bodies, Renaud appears and kills her father.
He then tries to force Teonna to give up her Native American beliefs. But Teonna stands her ground. She throws hot coals at him, stabs him, and finally shoots him with her father’s gun. Though she survives, she is left all alone, having lost everyone she cared about.
What’s Happening with Spencer Dutton?
Spencer is shown briefly in this episode, traveling on a train. Even though he doesn’t have much screen time, his return to Montana is crucial. He is expected to play a major role in the final episode as the family prepares to fight Whitfield.
Alexandra Faces a Snowy Tragedy
Alexandra (Julia Schlaepfer) is staying with a wealthy couple who decide to help reunite her with Spencer. They plan a road trip to Montana in their personal car.
However, a snowstorm hits hard. When Alexandra wakes up, she finds her female friend frozen to death and her husband also dead just outside the vehicle. She is left stranded in the middle of a blizzard, completely alone.
