A Wichita Falls family is recovering after a structure fire damaged their home, causing an estimated $75,000 in damages. Thankfully, no one was injured in the incident.
Fire Breaks Out on Canyon Creek Street
The fire happened around 6 PM on Sunday evening, March 30, on Canyon Creek Street. Crews from the Wichita Falls Fire Department quickly responded to the emergency after reports of smoke coming from the home.
When firefighters arrived, they found heavy smoke coming from the house. Firefighters worked fast, and the fire was brought under control in about 20 minutes.
Cause of the Fire: Electrical Issue
According to fire officials, the blaze was caused by an electrical failure in the home’s exterior air conditioning condenser unit. This malfunction led to the fire that caused significant damage to the structure.
No Injuries Reported
The good news is that no one was hurt, including both firefighters and civilians. The family living in the house was displaced, and the American Red Cross was called in to help them with emergency assistance.
