Sunny skies back across Texoma, cooler finish for week

WICHITA FALLS (KFDX/KJTL) — Mostly clear skies are expected for the region as the unsettled weather begins to shift further to the east for the majority of the week ahead.

Temperatures will run above average for Tuesday and Wednesday, with afternoon highs reaching up into the mid to upper 80s. Winds will pick up out of the south for the afternoon and evening hours and could persist into the overnight hours as well.

Thursday could be a bit cooler as winds turn more out of the north, pulling those afternoon highs back down into the upper 70s to finish up the workweek. A few more clouds could return to the region, but the mostly sunny skies will continue.

Rain chances will return to start next week, with some isolated showers and thunderstorms expected for Sunday and Monday of next week.
