Texas Cracks Down on Illegal Massage Parlors Linked to Human Trafficking

Texas officials have taken action after investigators uncovered alleged wrongdoing at multiple massage parlors across the state. The investigation has led to the closure of several businesses and the identification of troubling connections to human trafficking, unlicensed activity, and sexual services.

Investigation Uncovers Serious Violations

According to CBS News, all the massage parlors involved are owned by the same person, Wanli Peng. Investigators discovered disturbing links, including illegal services being offered at six locations across Texas. The Houston P&L Massage Therapy, PLLC, and Dallas Health Care Enterprise LLC were also shut down.

Massage A+ – 3211 W. Wadley Ave., Ste. 12, Midland

Healing Garden Massage – 956 S. Fry Rd., Katy

Massage Pro 1 – 2150 FM 2920 Rd., Ste. 200, Spring

Massage Invite – 2685 Highway 6 S., Houston

Yu Spa – 2001 Coit Rd., Ste. 169, Plano

YY Spa – 501 Birdwell Ln., Ste. 17, Big Spring

Range of Violations Found

CBS News reported that investigators discovered various violations, including:

Sexual services being offered and advertised

Role-playing costumes found on-site

Employees living at the locations

Some employees working without licenses

One employee arrested for inappropriate behavior toward an undercover officer

Emergency Closures for Six Months

Due to the seriousness of the violations, these businesses are facing an emergency closure for at least six months.
