Police in Texas are actively searching for a murder suspect, Trevor McEuen, who is now missing after removing his ankle monitor early Monday morning. The search, which began in Van Zandt County, has now expanded beyond the local area, with authorities warning that McEuen could be anywhere in the region.
He is wanted for capital murder in Kaufman County, and officials are asking the public to remain alert and not to approach him under any circumstances.
Who Is Trevor McEuen?
Trevor McEuen is the main suspect in the murder of Aaron Martinez, who was found shot to death inside his truck. According to reports, the truck was “riddled with bullets”, indicating a violent and targeted shooting.
McEuen was due in court on Monday, as part of his ongoing murder trial in North Texas, but instead, he removed his ankle monitor and fled.
Where Was McEuen Last Seen?
The Van Zandt County Sheriff’s Office began searching for McEuen on Monday morning, focusing on the area near U.S. Highway 80, east of Grand Saline.
However, by the afternoon, officers believed that McEuen had left the area, and the search has now expanded.
How Did He Escape?
According to WFAA in Dallas, McEuen cut off his ankle monitor and left his home around 5:30 a.m. on Monday. Authorities issued an active warrant in Kaufman County for bail revocation on the charge of capital murder.
As of now, police have no information about his current location, what he might be wearing, or whether he is traveling on foot or in a vehicle.
Public Warning Issued
Law enforcement officials have made it clear: Do not approach Trevor McEuen if you see him. He is considered dangerous, and the public is urged to call the police immediately if they have any information about his whereabouts.
