The Red Raiders will be kicking off the season on August 30th, and here’s everything you need to know about the first few games and the rest of the schedule.

Texas Tech Football Kicks Off on August 30th

Texas Tech will begin its 2025 season on August 30th against Arkansas-Pine Bluff at Jones AT&T Stadium. The game will start at 6:30 p.m. and will be broadcast on ESPN+, so make sure you don’t miss the exciting opener!

Upcoming Home Games for Texas Tech

  • September 6, 2025: Kent State comes to Lubbock for a 11:00 a.m. game. The game will be aired on both TNT and streaming on MAX, so fans can tune in from anywhere.
  • September 13, 2025: Texas Tech wraps up its non-conference home games with a 2:30 p.m. matchup against Oregon State. This game will be aired on FOX. It’s expected to be a hot one, so fans should be ready for a scorching afternoon at Jones AT&T Stadium!

Texas Tech Starts Big 12 Play on the Road

After their non-conference schedule, Texas Tech will hit the road to face off against Utah on September 20th, followed by a trip to Houston on October 4th. Their first Big 12 matchup at home will be October 11th against Kansas.
