The Community and Veterans Are Invited to the Home for Freedom Meeting

A Wichita Falls non-profit, Home for Freedom, is dedicated to helping local veterans—and they want the community to get involved.

This veteran-focused organization was created by people who deeply appreciate the sacrifices made by those who served. Their mission is to support veterans in various ways, but they need volunteers and community support to make it happen.

How Home for Freedom Helps Veterans

Home for Freedom works on several projects aimed at improving the lives of veterans in Wichita Falls. Some of their ongoing efforts include:

  • Pairing service dogs with veterans, including their own Home for Freedom dog, “Whiskey.”
  • Home repairs for veterans in need.
  • Building a new cemetery gate for the Wichita County Veterans Cemetery to honor those who have served.

To continue these important projects, they need community involvement and support.

Upcoming Meeting: Learn How You Can Help

Home for Freedom invites all veterans and community members to attend an informational meeting on:

  • Thursday, March 6
  • 6:00 – 7:30 p.m.
  • The Form, 2120 Speedway Ave, Wichita Falls

Light refreshments will be served.

This is a great opportunity for veterans to learn about available resources and for community members to see how they can contribute.
