A violent and racially charged attack on a Black man inside Pike’s Pub, a white biker bar in Fort Wayne, Indiana, has shocked the community after video footage of the assault went viral. The footage shows a group of white men, many wearing “Outlaw” biker vests, assaulting the man while shouting racial slurs during a Friday night brawl.
Details of the Attack
The incident occurred around 11 p.m. and involved at least eight men ganging up on the victim, who appeared calm but was quickly overwhelmed. The Black man, wearing a high-visibility safety vest, was surrounded by a dozen leather-clad bikers.
The video shows the man being sucker punched, knocked down, and repeatedly kicked and punched before being put into a sleeper hold.
Investigation and Response
The Allen County Sheriff’s Department responded to a call about an intoxicated person at the bar, but the fight had ended by the time officers arrived.
The victim was taken to the hospital in fair condition but declined to identify his attackers. Authorities continue to investigate and have handed the case over to the Criminal Investigations Division, with no arrests made as of June 1.
A sheriff’s vehicle remained outside the bar during the ongoing investigation, while protesters gathered nearby demanding justice.
Controversy and Community Reaction
Adding to the tension, a large Trump campaign sign hung prominently inside the bar, serving as a stark backdrop to the violence. The attackers’ “Outlaw” vests suggest possible ties to the Outlaws Motorcycle Club, a group previously linked to criminal activities including extortion and drug distribution in Fort Wayne.
Fort Wayne Mayor Sharon Tucker condemned the attack on social media, calling it “very disturbing” and promising to seek answers.
Bar Owner’s Statement and Current Status
Kelley Rost, owner of Pike’s Pub, stated that the fight allegedly began over the victim refusing to pay his tab but acknowledged that the details remain unconfirmed by authorities. Rost emphasized, “There are two sides to every story.”
Since the video’s release, Pike’s Pub has deleted its social media pages and remains closed, with no information on when it might reopen.
