Every year after he finishes his tour, he goes through what he calls his “Get Rid of His Phone After Tour Saga.” This time, he actually threw his phone into the Cumberland River after wrapping up his last tour. While some thought it was just a dramatic move and expected him to get a new one soon, it’s now been almost four months — and he still hasn’t replaced it.
His main reason? He was tired of the negativity and pressure that came with social media and digital life. Jelly wanted to quiet the noise and focus more on real life — his music, his health, and his family.

Jelly also revealed that he found out about a serious personal matter — the arrest of his daughter’s mother on felony drug charges — through this limited method of communication. Since he doesn’t have a phone, someone had to reach him through email, and he saw the message only when he checked his laptop.
