This weekend, residents of Wichita Falls have a powerful opportunity to experience a day in the life of someone who is homeless. Homeless Lives Matter, a local nonprofit, is hosting its first-ever fundraiser to raise both awareness and funds to support unhoused people in the community.
Experience Life on the Streets for a Day
On Saturday, April 26, participants are invited to spend a day walking in the shoes of a homeless person. The event will run from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Homeless Lives Matter, located at 921 7th Street in downtown Wichita Falls.
Participants will start the day with just one bag of supplies, giving them a small glimpse into the challenges that many homeless individuals face every day. Rain or shine, the goal is to help the community understand the hardships of life without stable housing.

The day’s activities will include:
- Live music performances
- Lunch provided to participants
