We'll Take a Few More Showers Before We Dry Out

Good evening, Texoma! After a loud and stormy night, today brought cloudy skies and chilly air across the region. While the weather remains gloomy for now, some sunshine and warmer days are just around the corner.

Last Night’s Storms Bring Hail to Wichita Falls

Around 2 a.m., a strong storm system moved through Wichita Falls, bringing golf ball-sized hail and loud thunder that likely disturbed a few good nights’ sleep. While the worst of the storm has passed, today stayed calm — just cloudy, cold, and damp.

Temperatures Remain Chilly Across Texoma

Most of Texoma saw highs around 50°F today, making it feel more like winter than spring. As we head into the overnight hours, temperatures will drop again.

  • Light freezing conditions are possible in a few spots
  • Others will hover just above freezing
  • Light rain showers are expected tonight

In far western Texoma, a rain/snow mix could briefly develop. This isn’t expected to cause major problems, but a light dusting on grassy surfaces is possible.

A Chilly Sunday, But Brighter Skies

Sunday will still be on the cooler side, but the good news is the sun will finally return! Expect drier and clearer skies as we wrap up the weekend.

Warmer, Drier Weather on the Way

Starting next week, Texoma can expect a gradual warm-up with dry conditions. So if today’s cold and dreary weather has you feeling down, hang in there — better weather is coming soon!
