WICHITA COUNTY, TEXAS – A heartbreaking tragedy occurred on Friday, April 18, 2025, when a 12-year-old teenager died after suffering serious injuries in an ATV crash in Wichita County.
The incident took place just before 4:30 p.m. on private land off Hammon Road, around a quarter mile south of Quincy Road.
What We Know So Far
According to Wichita County Sheriff David Duke, emergency responders arrived at the scene and found the juvenile in critical condition. The child was quickly transported from the location for emergency medical care.
Sadly, Sheriff Duke later confirmed that the teenager passed away Friday night due to injuries sustained in the crash.

As of now, the identity of the teenager has not been made public out of respect for the family’s privacy. No additional details about how the crash happened have been released.
