Jason Aldean and his wife Brittany will celebrate ten years of marriage on March 21, and while they are happy together, they still disagree on some issues.
In this case, it is a significant thing.
In a video posted on Brittany’s social media, the couple is arguing about purchasing a farm. Mrs. Aldean has apparently had this dream for a long time, but her husband is not a fan.
As any farmer knows, farming is exhausting work, and the country singer is concerned about the effort required to maintain both the land and livestock.
“New day, same convos,” Brittany captions the video.
In the video, Aldean describes a video he saw online of a man who just wanted to relax in life, but his wife is always eager to go out and do things. He mentions how relatable the message is, as Brittany always seems to have a long to-do list.
“The wife is just jumping around like a lunatic like, ‘I want a new dog, I want to go to Europe, I wanna do this,'” Aldean recounts.
“I feel like that guy is my best friend.” “I feel like we get each other, because you are — dude, it’s wild,” he says.
The “Whiskey Drink” singer then criticizes his wife for repeatedly requesting a farm. He promises to get one when they retire, but she points out that he will never retire.
Brittany then begins to list her desires in a matter-of-fact tone: “I simply want a bulldog. I just want to go to Europe again. “I just want a farm,” she explains.
“To most people out there, this sounds stupid,” Aldean says.
“You can have a wishlist in life,” she responds.
The two then argue about how much work it would take to own a farm. When things go wrong, Aldean mentions things like collecting eggs, feeding chickens and goats, and calling the vet, but Brittany remains firm in her stance. She wants a farm!
Where Do Jason and Brittany Aldean Live?
A farm would be an additional real estate holding for the country couple. The Aldeans already own a large mansion in Tennessee and an oceanfront home in Florida.
They bought another property in the Bahamas earlier this year!
If they do decide to buy a farm, they will join a long list of other country artists who have done the same: Blake Shelton, Carrie Underwood, Lainey Wilson, and even Jelly Roll are among those who work the land when they are not onstage.
