Woman stopped for alleged DWI with 3 young children

WICHITA FALLS (KFDX/KJTL) — A 26-year-old Wichita Falls woman has been released on bond after being charged with driving drunk with three young children in her car.

Savannah Lacoss was arrested Sunday night, June 16, on Brown Street after police went to check a report of a person driving erratically.

They said three children were in the car, ages 1, 6 and 8. Officers said they could detect a strong odor of alcohol on her breath and asked her how much alcohol she had consumed, to which she answered one beer and one shot of rum.

They said she agreed to take a sobriety field test and that she showed six of six clues for intoxication in one phase and seven of eight clues in another.

This charge is a felony with possible state jail time if convicted.
