Found Dead in a House Fire in Wichita Falls

Wichita Falls, Texas – Authorities are investigating the cause of an early morning house fire that tragically resulted in the discovery of a deceased person inside the property.

The incident happened on Wednesday, March 26, when emergency responders were called around 3:45 a.m. to the 1200 block of 36th Street following reports of a structure fire.

What Happened During the Fire?

When firefighters from the Wichita Falls Fire Department arrived at the scene, they saw heavy smoke coming from the house. Crews quickly got to work and managed to contain the fire before it could spread further.

However, during a search of the property once the fire was under control, firefighters discovered a body inside the house.

Investigation in Progress

After the tragic discovery, the Wichita Falls Police Department was called to assist. Authorities have confirmed that the cause of the fire and the cause of death are still under investigation.

At the time of writing, the identity of the person found inside the home has not yet been released, and officials have not shared whether foul play is suspected.
