WICHITA FALLS, Texas — The Wichita Falls City Council has taken a major step toward evaluating the local police department by approving a new agreement with 21cp Solutions, a public safety consulting firm.
This decision marks the beginning of a comprehensive review of the department’s policies, practices, and training.
Under the agreement, 21cp Solutions will conduct an in‑depth investigation to assess how the police department operates and interacts with the community. The firm’s work will focus on identifying strengths as well as areas where improvements can be made.
At the end of the review, the company will provide recommendations to city leaders aimed at enhancing the department’s effectiveness, transparency, and community relationships.
City officials say this review is part of ongoing efforts to ensure that the Wichita Falls Police Department continues to meet the needs and expectations of residents.
The process is expected to take several months to complete, with regular updates provided to the public as the work progresses.
